This wiki has been setup to assist teachers to develop ideas, share planning and store evidence for the Cairns AGQTP Project that aims to develop 'Models of Contemporary Learning' that could be contributed to the CNA Contemporary Learning Resource Bank.
This project will prepare teachers to develop a coherent and practical framework for classroom work that encompasses the multi-literacy competencies children will need to negotiate in this new millennium. The multi-literacies pedagogical approach aims to create access to evolving language, to foster critical engagement and achieve success.
Teachers will be encouraged to reflect on theory and practice of constructivism, processes of online education, and engaged learning. They will examine the inclusion of contemporary elements, as defined by the MCEETYA Contemporary Learning Framework. As co-participants in the provision of professional learning in this area the teachers’ status as professionals will be recognised and celebrated.
This project will be implemented using the following learning principles:
Direct link to curriculum (QCAR/Australian Curriculum) and classroom practice that will ensure improved student engagement and the achievement of student outcomes.
Process and product oriented.
Interactive through the engagement with theory, learning and teaching strategies/materials and guided reflection.
Ensure equity of access for all through the use of online professional development
Utilise project-based activities to ensure sustainable learning occurs through a structured and sequential programme
